are back with
Eats
, aimed at very young readers.
I
n it, they cleverly show us all kinds of critters and what they like best to eat - in simple yet bold and vibrant paper-cut illustrations, with two words per page naming the creature and its food. It starts with a worm in an apple. Then we see a bird eating a worm, a squirrel and acorns, an anteater and ants (my favorite) and so on.
V
ery small children will be enticed by the primal colors and enjoy identifying each hungry bird, bee or animal and what it likes to eat - some of which they might enjoy too (like the monkey's banana). The last page shows a yummy ice cream cone, with the words '
and who eats ice cream?
' I can already hear the yelled out
ME
