There are spreads for a variety of shapes - square, circle, star, triangle, and rectangle - that pop up in remarkable paper sculptures. In addition to admiring the spectacle, readers are encouraged to quantify what they're looking at. For example, on the Stars layout, they're informed that there are 7 different star shapes and asked how many have each of 4-10 points, how many points touch the pages, which star contains the most star shapes etc.. This is one of those intriguing, mind-boggling books that adults and kids can enjoy exploring together - admiring the layouts, answering the questions, and comparing results.
