This one opens with a dog chasing two kitties up a tree - a small cat and a child in feline costume. 'The kitty ran up the tree, / The kitty ran up the tree, / Her nose went up, and her toes went up, / The kitty ran up the tree.' Why did the kitty run up the tree? We learn that too in these charming verses that end with child, cat, and little dog all happily together at the bottom of the tree. Very small children will enjoy all of their antics, and chant the words as they turn pages.
