his charming picture book is devoted to poems about planets, the sun, the galaxy, the moon, and other facets of outer space. My favorite is the poem about Pluto, the planet that recently got demoted:

ach poem is just the right length and contains fun facts about our solar system.
Comets, Stars, the Moon, and Mars
is a nice introduction to astronomy for young children and would be a great book for classrooms as well as for a personal home library.
