In various traveler's guises, Chirp, a small yellow bird, stars in each activity, often accompanied by a friend, like spotted Tweet or monkey Momo. There are jokes and puns; cartoon adventures (in space, the desert, the forest, the South Pole, and the ocean) with simple text; travel games (Look Out for Letters, Go Wild!, Laugh It Up, and Count Up the Fun); sing-a-longs, some with actions to perform; and easy activities (Silly Sculptures with pipe cleaners, Fantastic Finger Plays using magic markers, and Amazing Animal Charades); as well as the Memories by Mail suggestion. The variety and open-ended nature of some activities will stimulate other ideas in young and old travelers. Travel with Chirp is a useful resource for anyone planning long family trips with little ones.
