But Little Monkey has other ideas. He scampers off into the jungle treetops, crying 'Can't catch me!' That becomes his refrain, as different jungle animals join the chase, all calling 'Coming to get you and when we do ...' The lions roar, the leopards growl, the elephants bellow, the hippos wallow, and the crocs snap their jaws. Little Monkey even leaps off planet, where a flying saucer beeps, and aliens make very strange sounds indeed on their icy world. When, a last jump takes Little Monkey back to Earth, a crowd of jungle animals is waiting - what will they do to him? Can you guess? It's a very sweet story, with a cute ending. Kids will identify with the small monkey who's trying to do what they also often try for - to escape bedtime - and will love to mimic each and every adult animal (and alien) who's chasing after him.
