Kaszuba Locke In The Beginning is the second-of-two in the Chunky Book® format, specially-designed by author Mary Josephs and illustrator Kathy Mitchell. A big, brilliant yellow sun sporting a smile, and its surrounding rays, welcome tykes to open the book. Inside is Mom and child seated in bed, reading a book, with a starry outline leading to the corresponding page. Aha! Here's another lift-out piece - underneath each the child finds a special picture to complete the scene. It begins, 'On the first day, God created the heaven and the earth'. At story end, Mom is turning off the light, as her child has fallen asleep with the book in hand. Endearing and cuddly!
