Sleeping on the couch is wrong. Barking is wrong. It seems like whatever Emma does is wrong. She can't understand why she is so unappreciated, so she emails a doggy advice column for help. Queenie, the columnist, is full of useful advice. But when Emma tries it, things always turn out wrong. Finally, Queenie advises Emma to get a job. Emma tries out for a play and gets the part. Not until she's on the road does Emma realize the job means leaving her human. Emma - and her desire to be a good dog - is sure to please any dog lover who will recognize the good and the bad aspects of living with a canine. Even those without a dog to love will enjoy this hilarious tale. The cartoon-like drawings fit the text and add to the humor. As Queenie says, 'Keep that tail wagging.'
