T
his is one of a series of storybooks that come along with a set of finger puppets, so that readers - young and old - can add their own action to beloved traditional tales.
A
felt glove provides the story backdrop on one hand, while the individual puppets (three pigs and old
Big Bad
himself) act out scenes on the fingers of the other hand, and can stick to the glove with velcro (there's also a velcro button to attach the glove and its puppets to the book). And the last two pages provide an even bigger setting (again in felt) on which to enact the story.
T
he illustrations are bright and engaging (kids will love small touches like a little bird flying bricks in for Piggy number three, or the small squirrel throwing a party after the wolf runs off, never to be heard from again). This is a great series, offering active, creative fun for little ones, individually or together.
