Golden Books® has released a board book, die-cut in the shape of a pumpkin, orange and smiley, with goodies flowing out the top, and a handle rope to boot. A perfect read for the wee jet-set age group, two and up. Each page has a Halloween eve picture of a youngster on his neighborhood route. He meets friendlies, who would like a snack from his goodies collection. The words are set in rhyme, beginning with 'I love trick-or-treating on Halloween. / It's the one day each year when monsters are seen. / A big hairy werewolf wants candy to eat, / so I look in my bag for a yummy treat.' Author Melissa Arps and illustrator Hector Borlasca give special recognition to an October night, when all Trick or Treaters in costume present a scary or a friendly sight.
