My Backpack will delight little ones as they watch big sister and brother go off to school. The rhyming story tells about the schoolbag's colors of yellow, blue, red, and gray, and what school supplies are inside. 'My sandwich and juice box stay cold in my tote', says the youngster when packing his bag. Melissa Arps writes in short-sentence, rhyme format about school activities - drawing, writing, reading, and homework assignments. My Backpack will prepare preschoolers with the concept of what can be put inside as well as attached to the outside of the bag.
