D.W.'s Guide to Preschool
, Arthur's engaging small sister explains the ins and outs of the preschool experience to little ones anxious about leaving home for the first time.
I
n a reassuring manner, D.W. takes readers by the hand and walks through the entire day - from farewells to parents; greetings to everyone (including the pet gerbil); bathroom breaks (and occasional accidents); free play and learning to share; circle time songs; snacks; outdoor play (with turn taking); learning numbers and letters; field trips; story time; clean up and farewells.
D
.W. makes it all sound like great fun and kids will love to explore the busy, detailed illustrations and see how happily all the children occupy themselves at preschool. D.W.'s closing comment says it all, '
Now we have to go home. But I'm not sad, because I get to come back tomorrow!
