K
eith Baker has created another amusing easy reader about two cheerful alligators who are never at a loss as to how to spend time together.
I
n the first story, Mr. Green is a magician and Mrs. Green decides to be his assistant. Mr. Green's tricks sometimes get a little scary when he forgets the magic word. Luckily, Mrs. Green likes scary. This story is full of numerals and counting, with colorful words like
sassafras
and
tutti-frutti
thrown in.
S
tory two contains a puzzle. Why did Mrs. Green make cookies and leave a note telling Mr. Green that they are terrible and not to eat them? In the third story on inventions, Mrs. Green invents a scooter which sets Mr. Green to thinking about inventions and finally creating one of his own.
I
llustrated and written by Keith Baker this short chapter book,
On the Go With Mr. and Mrs. Green
, will appeal to young readers from kindergarten to second grade.
