In I'm All Dressed!, a boy wants to play in the snow, and resists getting dressed for Grandpa's birthday party. He finally cooperates but, waiting for a present to be wrapped, gets too hot and takes everything off again. This time he insists, 'I can dress me - all by MYSELF!' So he does ... all topsy-turvy. The analysis emphasizes the importance of supporting the boy's steps to independence and expressions of individuality, 'balanced by their responsibity to keep him warm'. Read these books together and chuckle over the tussles of daily life with little ones.
