T
he Book of ZZZs
presents enchanting photos of young sleepers from many species, including human. It begins, '
All creatures sleep. Some stand up ... others s-t-r-e-t-c-h out
' (flamingo and goat, respectively).
S
leeping critters (including pig and puppy, kitty and meerkats) nestle in hands, on chairs, on the beach. They pillow their heads on rocks (that little sea lion on the front cover is adorable), on grass, in a bed. They seek sunlight or shade, and snooze at all times of day. '
But mostly sleep sneaks in at night, when lights are low and dreams are near.
'
T
his picture book makes a delightful accompaniment to bedtime rituals. Adult and child alike will exclaim over sweet images of sleeping infants ... and they might even encourage some ZZZs from your own little ones.
