I
n this 4th in the
W.I.T.C.H.
series, Will, Irma, Cornelia and Hay Lin desperately seek a way to get back to Metamoor to rescue Taranee, left there in
Finding Meridian
. In the meantime, they've magicked up an '
astral drop
' that looks and behaves just like their friend, so that her family will not be worried.
I
n addition to saving her kidnapped friend (and the world) Irma has to cope with a crush from goofy Martin, and deal retribution to her pesky brother. Seeking a dormouse-sitter, Will turns into an '
itch-monster
'. The heroines' journey through the portal to Metamoor has a shrinking side effect, the astral drops they left behind do some things differently, the girls encounter their monstrous math teacher again, and the bad guys learn that '
playing with fire
' is dangerous.
I
t's another engaging mix of superhero action and the angst of everyday life for the five young
W.I.T.C.H.
heroines, enlivened by the usual colorful comic inserts. Don't miss this cute series.
