his book is 2nd in the
W.I.T.C.H.
series about the magic of friendship amongst five girls who bond through a common secret. They all have special powers. They have mysterious battles to fight, and together they learn to find solutions to deal with evil. While trying to save the world, the girls have to cope with homework, school, boys and concealing their power from their parents!

hrough these friends, all with unique gifts, readers are transported into a world where they too are challenged to face their own issues in growing up. Colorful comic inserts at the beginning and end of the book - as well as animated electrical appliances - add to the fun of reading. This is a refreshing story about girls facing their fears, about loyalty to friends, and about betrayal. It speaks of the strength that comes from determination, and from true friends bonding together.
T
he girls are unsure of their powers at first - will they learn to use them and will they be successful in saving the world? That's for you to find out! I recommend the series and
The Disappearance
as enjoyable reads for middle school girls (and even for adults).
