She works in a hospital setting, doing many different things to assist people. Those who like dogs enjoy petting her, and Lady provides comfort and companionship to them. Her interaction with other patients encourages them to exercise. For example, some throw balls for her to help strengthen their muscles, and Lady will accompany others on walks. One Incredible Dog! shows children how working dogs can help people get better. The book details Lady's training, showing how a dog can get a job like hers. My young children were fascinated by Lady and her duties, which held their interest throughout. The realistic illustrations make kids feel a part of this true story.
