The Everlasting is another extraordinary read, with echoes of Joan of Arc - an orphan who became a legendary knight, who gives her all for queen and country. The account opens on 'The First Death of Una Everlasting', as told by Owen Mallory, 'her shadow while she lived and her echo ever after'. She grows up as one of the Dominion's smallfolk, and only draws the sword from the yew after the Brigand Prince slaughters her father. She saves a princess who becomes a queen, swears to serve her and does so to her death. Owen vows to tell his readers how Una's story ends. Centuries after Una's first death, Owen is a history scholar at Cantford College. He receives a book entitled 'The Death of Una Everlasting'. He falls in love and is sent into the past. Owen's and Una's lives overlap time and time again, but she repeatedly saves his life, and always dies. Can they rewrite the story and change its ending? This is not just a love story, but a unique blend of fantasy and time travel, all manipulated by ultimate villainy, and with surprises at every turn - especially what started it all. Finally, Una and Owen earn the second happily ever after that they fought for and deserve. Don't miss the brilliant Everlasting.
