he poem is the one we all know well but the context is new and engaging. I especially liked the sleeping mice and the hockey sticks and skis that Santa adds to the stockings.

dding intriguing background information, Bozzi includes the 1823 original publication of the poem; a Glossary; an explanation of metaphors, similes, and contractions used; and what the reindeer names all mean.
