wo mittens (Dotty and Other Dotty) are '
fluffy and woolly and cozy and warm
' and look exactly the same. Stripes is different. The Dotty's tell him that the little girl has two hands that must match, and will never want Stripes!

tripes is left all alone in the little girl's pocket. But one day she drops Other Dotty! She pairs Dotty and Stripe, who get to know one another - will they become friends? When Other Stripes is found (after a scary adventure), it's Dotty who is left alone in the pocket!

omeone is always left out. What can be done about it? The little girl figures it out and life is never the same for all of them. Can you guess how she does it?
