John's Turn is presented in Mac Barnett's picture book, illustrated by Kate Berube. Tina played tuba; did played magic tricks; Carla told jokes - what will John share? He's clearly nervous. When it's time, John dances - in wonderful ballet movements. Then it's everyone else's turn, to applaud his performance. It's a sweet story about individuality, the different gifts that we all have, and the importance of supporting those talents.
