) in
The Unicorn Rescue Society
chapter book series by Adam Gidwitz and Jesse Casey, illustrated by Hatem Aly, and aimed at ages seven to ten.

he first episode introduced Elliot Eisner and his new friend Uchenna Devereaux in New Jersey. After they rescued a young Jersey Devil (which then adopted them), their social studies teacher enrolled them in a secret society that protects mythical creatures from danger. Professor Fauna has seen dragons and hopes to one day see a unicorn.

s this episode opens, Elliot receives a a book,
The Country of Basque
from the Professor, who calls a society meeting. He informs them they must go to Europe to rescue a dragon - and flies them there! Soon, they're on the trail of the kidnapped dragon. The villains have taken her for her cure-all saliva.
O
f course, they manage a rescue, but with quite a few surprises - and a family reunion - along the way.
