He tells his dad he's making a flying machine to 'fly all the way across the yard.' He's certain he doesn't need any help! He builds a ramp, sketches and plans, but nothing works. Dad suggests making small sister Nika his partner. Their attempt again fails, but Dad encourages perseverance to the frustrated Jabari. They try again and Nika's idea works! This cute, well illustrated picture book teaches young readers (grades 2-4) that something worth doing will often take time, teamwork, and repeated attempts - an important lesson for all ages.
