In the Half Room    by Carson Ellis Order:  USA  Can Candlewick, 2020 (2020) Hardcover     Reviewed by Hilary Williamson Here's a whimsical picture book - Carson Ellis's In the Half Room explores the concepts of halves and wholes, e.g. 'Half a window / Half a door / Half a rug on half a floor'. I especially liked the Siamese cat images and the double page spread of 'Two half cats in a half-cat fight', and 'The End' beside the rear end of that cat. If I was reading this book with a child, I'd ask them to identify all the halves they see. Try out In the Half Room for something new and different at bedtime.
