Chick is a tiny avian while Brain only looks very smart. When Chick challenges Brain's intelligence, the response is 'Smell My Foot!' There's back and forth banter, with insistence on the word 'Please' before a mutual foot smelling proceeds. The next chapter introduces the dog Spot. Of course, Brain wants to smell feet immediately but Chick insists on polite introductions first. Spot thinks Chick's foot smells 'Yummy' and invites him home for lunch. Oops! Fortunately Chick's insistence on table manners delays matters and Brain knocks on the door in time! Maybe Brain is smarter than he looks. In addition to teaching basic social interactions, Smell My Foot! is hilarious!
