You and your young one will have a giggle fest as you read about the tale of a dog who really wants to be adopted. A man buys a pillow, but has to return it to the store. He buys a footstool, but it's too noisy, so he has to return it to the store. He buys a jacket, but it makes crude noises and is quite odoriferous. Back to the store the jacket goes. It seems as though one cannot purchase quality goods anymore. Wait a minute! The pillow, the footstool, and the jacket are all a dog! How silly! The joke-per-page antics of the main characters will have your little one in stitches over the silliness from start to finish. The story behind this story is equally cute. Gehl was inspired by the bedtime game she played with her children. Using her kids as pillows, and pretending to be sleeping, she'd exclaim, 'my pillow keeps moving, I need to return it to the store,' as her pillow wiggled and giggled about.
