dorable little Anders and his pal Eden are not happy. Summer break is here, but their teacher has given them a summer-long homework assignment.

s if the summer project were not bad enough, there are new students who have transferred in, right at the end of the year. No one is very kind to the newcomers, Bernie, and his cousin Whinney. But Anders feels bad for the new students and extends an offer of friendship.

oon, Anders and Eden become friends with Bernie. The trio is ready for a summer packed full of adventures and discoveries. They do the usual summer activities together. They cool down on hot days with ice cream, read comics, and even build their very own fort to hang out in.

s an extra special treat, they get to spend a day at the water park, where they make more new friends. Anders even goes home with a special pet, Skip. The introduction of Skip leads the buddies to high-flying adventures. Perhaps that summer project won't be so hard to do, after all.

oin Anders as he learns the value of friendship in this fun graphic novel for readers ages six to nine years old. It is packed full of black and white comics with the most enjoyable cast of animal characters. The squirrels, Anders and Eden, and elephants, Bernie and Whinnie, are joined by a menagerie of bunny, turtle, and cute koala pals.
