What better way to introduce your baby to both music and language than by singing to them? Authors Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer created Sing To Your Baby to encourage parents to start singing. By popular demand, Cantale A Tu Bebe was released for Spanish speaking families to enjoy a singing session with their wee ones. Though I don't speak Spanish myself, I can see that the book offers all kinds of advice to parents who may be nervous about singing. There are eleven songs, lyrics included, accompanied by delightful drawings done in color. You can follow along to the songs on the CD while you read the lyrics. While you sing, baby can enjoy the pictures. The original music includes songs such as the soothing Amor Es Lo Que Siento por Ti (Love Is What I Feel For You) and the upbeat Como Se Rie Me Bebe (Baby's Got A Giggle). Regardless of language barriers, I enjoyed perusing this book and the music. From soothing harp to upbeat songs featuring the guitar and banjo, I now have these cheerful tunes stuck in my head.
