ur world is a volatile, remarkable, beautiful, ever-changing place. There is so much to learn that it can send your head spinning and your mind into overdrive.
his fun read breaks up the wonders of the world into eleven short sections. Readers, ages eight to twelve years old, will find the material easy to absorb with comprehensible language, helpful tables and charts, and fun black and white illustrations.
feel that calling this a book about geography is misleading. Topics such as weather, plate tectonics, and oceans are covered. I'd say this is actually a survey of the studies of not just geography, but meteorology, geology, oceanography, and more!
o many fascinating topics are introduced in this reference book that I doubt young readers will get bored! You'll learn about the stunning Northern Lights and the ingredients that go into a major wildfire. No matter where we live we are all affected by our temperamental planet, whether it be by weather, geography, or plate tectonics.
