This beautifully illustrated picture book is based on lyrics of Canadian singer Hawksley Workman's song from his holiday album, Almost a Full Moon.

Follow the music to a cabin in the snow-laden woods, where a boy and his grandmother make soup together. Grandma says, 'Let's make some soup 'cause the weather is turning cold' (the song's refrain). Folk arrive as the candles burn low, 'No one's different and everyone's alone.'

It's a charming presentation of community, working and celebrating together, and the joy of sharing with others. And the illustrations bring these ideas to life. What a lovely picture book.
