He is so frustrated with his nightly fears that one evening the youngster says, 'I've had enough of you, DARK! I wish you and your scary sounds, your murky monsters, and your pitch blackness would just ... just ... GO AWAY!' Well, that does it! In response to his rant Orion is visited by the Dark who just pops into the boy's room. Not exactly what he expected. Orion and the Dark then embark on an interesting and amusing adventure that changes the child's entire attitude about darkness. By the story's conclusion the two are friends and Orion doesn't want to see his new buddy leave. Any child afraid of the dark will enjoy this story which will, hopefully, change that negative attitude into a positive one. And even if your child has no problem with the dark, he or she will still find this a very entertaining picture book.
