W
hat I especially like about this board book for toddlers is that it offers more than one flap to open on each page so you really are getting value for your dollar here.
T
he flaps hide animals from various habitats, such as the Arctic, the savannah, the jungle and forests; plus, at the end of the book there's a two page spread that brings all the critters together in their proper settings.
T
he text is minimal - just the animals' names and the reoccurring question '
Who lives ...?
' – but that's OK since this isn't a story book but rather a concept book.
T
he illustrations are in bright, appealing colors and the glossy pages can be cleaned if little fingers make that necessary. Mom or dad may have to help get all the flaps open the first time through the book because some of them are rather small but that's no problem ... once open, your little one can take over next time and enjoy the fun of discovering what's behind the flap?
