long with the numerous hands on activities, the author supplies interesting facts about the country. For example, your youngster will learn the role John Marshall played in starting the California gold rush and when the first game of football was played in the United States (Rutgers vs. Princeton in 1869).

iven the book's content, it would be most appropriate to use it with a youngster who has some knowledge of American history. Probably a student in the fifth grade or higher would get the most from these activities.
