his clever picture book challenges young readers (ages 3 and older) to search and find animals hidden in various environments that range from jungles to deserts. The animals featured in the book are all from endangered species and they include the mountain gorilla, polar bear and gray wolf.

In the hot desert, among sand and thorns, / someone is sporting his long, twisted horns. / Where is he hiding? Maybe you know? / Where did the sandy-haired addax go?

ou'll have to scan the landscape carefully to locate the small image of the addax standing next to a dead tree.

t the back of the book you'll find a map showing where each animal lives, plus information about each of the 13 endangered species. Besides learning more about these special animals the child will also have the opportunity to hone his or her skills of observation. Focusing on the illustrations to find the hidden animal will give the youngster a chance to study a picture closely and enjoy this visual treasure hunt.
