Taken under the wing of Roberta, a goose, Clyde devises some rather silly routines to make the animals like him but they all fall rather flat. When he finally decides to just be himself rather than someone he isn't, Clyde discovers that he will be accepted by his peers and all ends well. A humorous tale with some tongue-in-cheek dialogue and funny situations, this story presents an important message about how to make an impression on others but still be yourself. Clyde's experience will translate well in families where the child may be experiencing a new school or have to deal with a move to a neighborhood where new friends must be made.
