ou'll need a map, some boots, a backpack, and a walking stick if you plan to accompany the narrator of this picture book to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. The trail that descends to the river bed and canyon floor is steep, dusty and rather lengthy, so be ready for a long hike.

long the way you'll see squirrels, lizards, lots of birds, insects and all sorts of interesting plants. If you are lucky enough to hike down or ride donkeys, this will be an experience you won't soon forget. It is something not everyone is fortunate enough to enjoy.
W
ith its excellent illustrations this is a book that would be the ideal read before a visit to the Grand Canyon. Even if your family won't be making the trip soon, the book offers a good idea of what one can expect to see when venturing into the canyon.
