f you already have a child and are expecting another, this is a picture book that will help the transition to a larger family. Sometimes the new arrival is not welcomed by other children. This book celebrates the baby and makes the infant the focus of positive attention by everyone in the household.
T
he rhymed text is simple but reinforces the idea that the baby is a welcome addition to the family. You'll notice too that every two page spread includes not only the baby but also the older child in the family, so he is made to feel important too.
L
arge illustrations and a text that beginning readers can handle make this a book that children can enjoy. Hopefully it will also underscore the idea that the new arrival is an important and appreciated member of the family.
