Scene of the crime is a very messy kitchen where Mom's favorite teapot meets its demise. Motive is unknown but there are plenty of suspects - Dad, Sister, Brother, Cat, Dog and Baby. Can you solve the crime? It opens, 'Baby sitting in his chair. / Brother spinning in the air. / WHO BROKE THE TEAPOT?!' Mom is definitely not a happy camper. There are denials of the criminal act from all present. And then we see what really happened, something even veteran mystery readers would not have predicted. Who Broke the Teapot? has lively illustrations with lots going on and an intriguing puzzle to engage both young and older readers.
