ruce is a grumpy bear who lives alone in the forest. There are plenty of things Bruce doesn't like, but high on his list of '
Don't like things
' are sunny days, rain and cute little animals.

ruce does like eggs, though. And it is because of an outing to obtain some eggs for a fancy recipe that Bruce becomes involved with four little goslings. I'll let you discover how this hilarious tale begins, but you'll see that Bruce quickly finds himself in a predicament because the goslings think he is their mother.
T
he situation becomes more complex (and funny) as the little fellas get older and refuse to abandon Bruce even when other geese fly south for the winter. What's the grumpy bear going to do? You'll find out when you read this clever picture book about
mother
Bruce!
T
his is an excellent transition book for a child ready to move toward chapter books. The lengthy story is not only engrossing but it will also give the child an opportunity to practice his/her new reading skills. It is a very endearing tale about a grumpy bear whose life undergoes some major changes.
