Fable Comics
, Chris Duffy has compiled 28 fables drawn by 26 different artists. While many of these tales are well-known, there are a few that are a little more obscure.
M
y favorites in terms of story were
The Frogs Who Desired a King
, a Greek myth illustrated by George O’Connor, and
The Milkmaid and Her Pail
by Aesop, illustrated by Isreal Sanchez. In terms of art, the best, by my taste, was Aesop's
Fox & Crow
, illustrated by Jennifer L. Meyer, which is filled with gorgeous full-page images.
T
hese are just a few of the highlights, though, and the whole collection is a great introduction to the genre of fables, or just a good revisit of some old classics.
