hildren at a rather early age seem to show interest in weather changes, which makes this book ideal for beginning the conversation about the hows and whys of daily alterations in climate.

ith their different shapes and the impressive displays that clouds can create during the course of the year, they generate attention and questions from youngsters. This book is pretty basic and features full page color photos and basic information about clouds. It offers a good way to begin the
weather
conversation without being overly technical.

eside making the young reader more aware of changes in cloud formations and what that may indicate, the book also includes a few simple hands-on activities to engage the child. As a starting place this inexpensive paperback will make your little weatherperson more aware of cloud formations and what they might mean about changes in the weather.
W
hen the child is ready for more information you can try the Internet or look for a book with more detailed material. The target school group here would probably be either first or second graders.
