All I needed to do was dress, brush my teeth, put my shoes on, and get Granddad. We had to get outside in the snow ...' Thus begins this story about the season's first snowfall and how a little boy, his grandfather and some others enjoy the pristine snow. As you would expect, the youngster is excited about the change in weather and the fun he anticipates playing in the clean blanket of snow. Of course, he's not the only one with such a plan so the day becomes an interesting one and the boy and his grandfather will have to share the wealth of new snow. There's something very special about the first snowfall of the winter and Sam Usher has captured that moment in this special picture book that grandparents will want to share with their grandchildren. This is one of those books that will become a family favorite year after year as this time on the calendar rolls around and the white stuff begins covering the lawn and flower beds!
