Bug in a Vacuum
is quite a tome of a picture book (though the text is brief), detailing the epic adventures of a bug swallowed by a vacuum cleaner. Have you ever wondered what that would be like?
T
he family dog follows and observes the bug's antics as it flies into the house and, Jonah-like, is swallowed through the vacuum hose into darkness. That poor little insect goes through various stages of reaction - surprise and disbelief, followed by attempts to make a deal, rage against fate, hopelessness, surrender, and finally a new beginning.

. The illustrations, and ongoing musings of the embattled insect, are hilarious.
