ot ready for long chapter books? Then this is a perfect and entertaining collection of stories for a five to eight year old ... and you too. I really enjoyed the stories and the format. Five tales of Tashi and friends will keep you riveted from cover to cover.

oin Tashi as he and his friends confront a wicked magician who hypnotizes people to steal ... from themselves! You'll be holding your breath as the next adventure finds Tashi and friends in a burning house. Will anyone be hurt? Then there's my favorite account, when Tashi has to deal with an orchid thief.

he last in the set is extra special, a two part story. This particular one is made even more enjoyable by upping the anticipation factor; read it over two nights. I highly recommend this book the way I read it ... at bedtime. Tashi's adventures are the perfect bedtime companion, setting free the imagination as it drifts off to dreamland.

ccompanying this lovely collection of stories are whimsical color drawings by Geoff Kelly and Kim Gamble. I was surprised at first ... Tashi didn't look the way I had imagined him! And the drawings are more whimsical and much more fun than what my imagination cooked up. So join Tashi and his friends, with clever names such as Mi Tu and Ah Chu, on their many adventures, and have a fun reading time!
