hese ten short stories by a group of Australian authors will appeal to youngsters whose reading skills have developed to where they can handle more detailed stories that feature a mixture of dialogue and lengthier sentences.

he collection's humorous content ranges from a tale about some children recovering stolen art, and a boy who loses a very special coin, to a magical paint brush, and how an alien invasion in averted.

he high interest stories are set in large type, vary in length, and feature only one or two illustrations so this is a nice transition to books that will have chapters, smaller type and no illustrations.
R
ead the stories in any order and encourage the youngster to sample tales until one is found that really captures his/her interest.
