H
e doesn't really look like a chicken as much as a large yellow blob with pointed teeth, a large nose and droopy eyes, but no matter. Mr. Chicken loves to travel and one of his favorite haunts is London.
I
n this humorous book the reader accompanies Mr. Chicken as he visits the British city. From his base at the Savoy Hotel the big bird plans his adventures. It will be a full day with a visit with the Queen for tea and then stops at St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, Big Ben and the London Eye.
A
s young readers follow along, they will not only learn about London's major attractions but they'll also be able to follow a map to see where the sites are located. Traveling with Mr. Chicken is certainly an experience and not one your child will soon forget.
N
ot only would this book be a good way to introduce a child to a major foreign city, but if you have plans of visiting London in the future, use this book to show your children what they will be seeing on the trip.
T
he illustrations here are amusing and, over all, you'll agree, I think, that this is a totally brilliant picture book and one your child will enjoy for years to come.
