The story opens: 'Llama Llama, big big day! / It's a first - a special stay.' The little one is staying overnight with his grandparents. All goes well and the day proceeds with engaging activities, but there is a niggling anxiety when the little one realizes that Fuzzy Llama wasn't packed! At bedtime that anxiety erupts in tears. But Grandpa has a solution and all ends happily - 'Llama Llama's not alone. / This is home ... away from home.'
