Also, if they are provoked a hippo can bite a giant crocodile in two and they can run faster than a human. As you page through this fun and informative picture book, you'll discover all sorts of odd and fascinating facts about these large creatures. Perhaps the most bizarre tidbit I picked up was that when two bull hippos square off they will stand rump to rump and 'swing their tails like baseball bats and swat balls of dung at each other'. Now if that's not totally gross I don't know what is! Young readers and their parents will have fun, and discover all sorts of information about hippos, as they enjoy this unusual and entertaining book.
