his is the third
Harry the Hippo
board book I have reviewed and this character is still able to make me (and my granddaughter) smile when we watch him play his silly game of hide and seek.
T
his time Harry is playing hide and seek on the farm. And as in the other books, no matter where he hides, poor Harry just can't seem to make his large body totally fit behind whatever he selects to act as a screen.
W
hether it is in a cornfield, behind an apple tree, the hay stack or even the tractor, part of Harry is always visible to the reader. Of course, that's why this picture book delights young preschoolers. Harry is just a tad too large to play hide and seek.
O
f course, when the game is over Harry wants to play again, so it is back to page one! Your toddler won't soon tire of engaging in this game with Harry because it is always possible to find the not so little hippo!
